Program Description

In the absence of municipal recreation programs, developing infrastructure and programs for children and youth- particularly aimed at lower socio-economic and high risk. Number of different activities initiated including a climbing club, a white-water club, peer led hackey sac sessions and a prep for life away from home group called Gravity that addressed cooking skills, budgeting etc. Infrastructure development included the installation of a disc golf course and a skateboard park. Current activities are focused on providing free after-school programs based at rural schools.
