Higher Spirits Floor Hockey League

Organization Sponsor: Lakeland District for Sport, Culture & Recreation

Program Description

This after school registration-based floor hockey program is offered to Gr. 5 & 6 classes of each of the 10 schools Monday to Thursday from January to March. The schools are bussed to a City of Prince Albert facility to play against each other. This program has evolved into a youth mentorship program, where older adults from a local community high school take part as referees, coaches, scorekeepers and timekeepers throughout the duration of the program. A nutrition component taught by the PAPHR Food For Thought Nutritionist is included for each of the schools involved in this league.
