Ice sculpture is a form of sculpture that uses ice as the raw material. Sculptures from ice can be abstract or realistic and can be functional or purely decorative. Ice sculptures are generally associated with special or extravagant events because of their limited lifetime. This is a winter event for children to take a small chunk of ice and make a small sculpture. Pictures were taken and prizes given out,
This was a one day event with several winter activities. Ice sculpting was tried because it is inexpensive and a different activity for kids to try that they don't often get a chance to try.
This was tried once but many other communities have offered it as part of their winter events.
Feedback from participants.
A great winter activity when offered with other winter activities like snow sculpting.
Ice can be tricky to work with. The temperature has to be right. A good idea to photograph. Looks beautiful with lights.
