Program Description

This activity was for people of all ages. It was a parade that took place in the evening and everyone that participated received a glow stick or flashing button. The parade lasted 20 minutes with over 1000 people taking part. Taking into account that our population is only 5200, that makes 20% of the population getting involved in a physical activity.

Impact Of Program: 

This event is is very popular and has become an annual festival of lights with 17 events happening in the month of Dec. Twenty percent of the community takes part in the event.

It brought the whole community together for a recreation activity, to walk in a parade to celebrate Christmas

The event has become so large it requires many volunteers to organize it.
