Program Description

Kool-Aid paintball was an a one day event that was part of a sports summer camp at Laurel Oaks Elementary School. This is a fun game where children who love to play with squirt and water gun get to run wild. Fill the squirt bottle, super soaker or squirt gun with Kool-aid ( don't need the sugar). Participants wear white tee- shirts. Play tag, hide and go seek or capture the flag. Great fun for young children.

Strategies For Sustainability: 

This activity was part of a week long summer sports camp. It provided a simple structure , a game with few rules where the kids could play and be so caught up in the fun that they were unaware of the exercise activity that they were participating in.

This activity was enjoyed by the participants of this camp.It was played as an afternoon activity over a period of several hours.

Key Elements Towards Success: 

This is a great water activity on a hot day.It is inexpensive , easily transportable, and can be played any where outdoors.

Challenges To Meet Them: 

Making sure the kids didn't get so excited they would hurt themselves. Depending on the game played a rest or out zone needs to be designated.

This has been an activity at this camp since 2007.
